Dear parents and carers,
Another week has flown by and we are now only two weeks away from half term! It has been a busy and positive week in school and we are gearing up, ready for Year Six to start their SATs on Monday. I met with the year group today to wish them luck, sharing with them that we are very proud of the hard work they have put into the past few weeks, revising for the tests but it is now up to them to 'Do Their Best', show 'Independence' and remember that they are in the performance Zone next week. I am confident that on Thursday, when they are all done, the children and staff will feel that they couldn't have done any else and they can enjoy the final 8 weeks in primary school.
Year Four Performance
Well done to all the Nighthawks and Giraffes for their year group assembly this week. They performed to the school and to parents and everyone enjoyed learning about the Anglo-Saxons. It was great to see so many family members come to school to watch yesterday, more chairs were required! Every year group has a chance to perform on stage at some point each year, and we have the Year 5 assembly and then the Year Six production to look forward to next!
Sunny Weather
Looks like we are in for a few sunny weeks ahead! Please make sure your children are appropriately dressed for this weather as they will spend time outside at break and lunchtime as well as during PE lessons. Sun hats or caps are a good idea at this time of year and applying sun cream at home if necessary. There are shady areas available for children including under the canopies and around the edge of the field and we will continue to encourage them to drink plenty of water.
Have a great weekend everyone
