Dear Parents and Carers
Another Friday has arrived, and we have had a lovely week in school. The mornings are definitely cooler, but we are still using the field at break and lunch times whilst the weather remains dry, and we continue to prepare to introduce OPAL lunchtimes in the coming months. Thank you to everyone who has given us resources for this project. We are building up quite a stock, and I'm confident the boys and girls are going to love having more choice during lunchtime at OWPS.
Football Team
The OWPS boys football team had their first match this week, and it was a local derby against another OWN Trust school, Nene Valley. We have a group of lads that know what it means to play as a team, and they won 17-1!! An amazing performance from them all, and it was enjoyed by lots of parents on Wednesday. Mr.Cowles and Mr.Newton are looking forward to seeing how this team and the girls team get on this year. Well done boys!
Year Four Family Learning
Great to see another group of parents join us at OWPS yesterday for the Year Four Family Learning session focussing on Maths. We continue to ensure there are lots of times our parents can join their children in school as the partnership between home and school is vital to the children's success.
Looks like Storm Amy is likely to be hitting Peterborough today and tomorrow. Try not to blow away anyone! Have a lovely weekend.
