Dear Parents and Carers,
A warm welcome back to everyone as we embrace a new academic year together! It has been delightful to witness our pupils plunge into the first full week back at school with such enthusiasm and energy. The atmosphere within our classrooms has been calm and conducive to learning, setting a perfect tone for the weeks ahead.
Foundation Stage
I am particularly pleased to share that our Foundation Stage pupils have begun their staggered start, and it has been wonderful to see them engaging with our new unit space. They are already starting to embody our school PRIDE values, which is a fantastic foundation for their journey at our school. I want to extend my thanks to our parents for encouraging their children to enter the school building independently at the start of each day. This promotes both confidence and resilience in our little ones. Additionally, thank you to those who attended the Foundation Stage Curriculum Evening on Tuesday. Your support and involvement are invaluable to us.
Connecting to Class Dojo
Parents of our Y1-Y6 pupils, please can we encourage you to connect to your child’s Class Dojo. This platform is going to be used for not only celebrating success, sharing news of what is going on in each classroom, but also will be used to communicate some behaviour correspondence and optional homework. Links to connect will come to your registered email address for those families who still need to join.
Volunteers
We highly value the input and assistance of our school community, and I would like to take this opportunity to invite any parents, carers, grandparents, other family members, who might be interested in volunteering at our school. Whether you can help with some administrative tasks or assist with hearing children read, any time you can spare each week would be greatly appreciated. If you would like to contribute, please do not hesitate to contact our school office for further details.
Uniform
As we embark on a new academic year, it is lovely to see how smart our pupils look, particularly our new Year 6 pupils wearing their purple sweatshirts. However, I would like to remind all parents of our school uniform policy, specifically with regard to PE kits. We expect these to align with our uniform expectations, which means no branding, such as Adidas stripes, football logos or Nike ticks should be visible. Your cooperation in this matter is greatly appreciated as it helps maintain a sense of belonging and unity within our school community.
Thank you for your continued support, and here’s to a fantastic school year ahead!
Warm regards,
Miss R Tansley
