Dear Parents and Carers,
I never quite know when the cut off is for wishing people a Happy New Year but as this is my first newsletter of 2026, Happy New Year! It has been a very positive start to the new school term and we have had a busy week at OWPS.
Young Voices 2026
On Wednesday, staff took a group of children to Birmingham for this year's Young Voices event. They had a fantastic time and reports from the staff were that the children were exceptionally well behaved, represented the school with PRIDE and sang their hearts out! A huge thank you to Mrs. Francis for organising the trip and to the other members of staff that took the children. Well done to everyone involved, I imagine there were a few hoarse throats yesterday morning. If you want to see some photos and videos of the event, please visit the school's Facebook page.

Curriculum Evening
We are looking forward to seeing lots of you at this year's curriculum evening. We will be altogether in the hall and there will be sessions on OPAL, reading and spelling. This event is suitable for all parents and carers, no matter which year group your children are in. Please complete the form to let us know you will be attending. The main entrance to school will open at 5.40pm and some refreshments will be available in the hall. The first presentation will start at 6pm and will finish by 7pm.
I hope you all have a wonderful weekend,
Mr. Marks
Headteacher
