Dear Parents and Carers,

It has been another positive week in school, and we have now all settled well into the new school year.

This weekend our thoughts and prayers will continue to be with the Royal Family as the country prepares for the Queen's funeral on Monday. We have talked about this historic occasion in school and some classes have watched some of the events that have happened this week.  

I hope you all have a restful weekend and I look forward to seeing you back in school on Tuesday.

Primary School Places at Orton Wistow  Primary School September 2023 

You can now apply for a primary school place at our school for entry in September 2023 on the Peterborough City Council website. Entry is for children born between September 2018 and 31 August 2019.  

The deadline for applications is 15 January 2023, you will then get an offer for a place on 19 April 2023.    

As a result, there are a number of tours that are taking place for you to look round the school as below.

Please contact the School Office to let us know the tour that you wish to attend and we will add your name to the list.  

We do not recommend that your child attends the tour as there is alot of information given by the Headteacher, and there are other opportunities for your child to come to school. 

Midday Supervisor 

We are looking to appoint a friendly, approachable team player with a can-do attitude who can be an active member of the school Midday Supervisors team.  Our Midday Supervisors ensure the security and care of the pupils of the school and promote their social development during the lunchtime period.

The closing date for applications is 9am Thursday 22nd September 2022.

NO NUTS in School

We would like to remind parents and carers not to send their children in with nut-based snacks for breaktime or food containing nuts as part of their packed lunch, for example chocolate spread.

We are a NO NUTS school to ensure the safety of those children who have a severe allergy to nuts. We would be grateful for your support in helping to protect those children who are vulnerable.  Please double-check the ingredients of products if you are not sure if they contain nuts or not.  Thank you.
