Dear parents and carers,

Another warm week at OWPS and it is only getting hotter over the weekend! This hasn't stopped us having another great week in school with some of those extra events that make time spent here very special including Year Four's trip to West Stow, KS2 sports day and The Year Six assembly today letting the rest of the children know about the stalls they have designed in their teams to raise money for the school and their end of year leavers celebrations.

KS2 Sports Day

It was lovely to see so many family members join us for sports day on Tuesday. The weather was perfect and Mr. Cowles and Mr. Nolan planned and set up a great event for the children. The new stations were a welcome change and the scarecrow and water bucket challenges were a hit with the children. Well done to all the children and to Dempsey for scoring the most points on the day. It is always great to see lots of our parents get involved with the races as well, we can see where the children get their competitive natures from!

Year Six Business and Enterprise

This was a common end of year project a few years ago for our Year Six children and I am pleased that we have re-introduced it this year. The project involves the children working in teams to design a stall to try and make as much money as possible. After writing a script and designing a visual advert the teams have presented their 'businesses' to the rest of the school today, hoping to see many of the children purposefully visit their stall on the 30th June. More details about this will be sent out by the Year Six team very soon.

Do your best to stay cool tomorrow, I imagine a few paddling pools will be filled up over the weekend!
