In Art we have been evaluating our work on sculptures. We considered what we have done well and what we could improve upon next time. We also gathered opinions from our friends on what they thought we could have done better and what they liked about our work.

In design and technology this week, we have been working hard in creating our illuminated letters. We have researched, designed and with some help during our 2 can learn, started to create beautiful illuminated letters.
The Iguanas have been using their skills as geographers to locate landmarks on a map and correctly place them around the UK. They used the index in the atlas to track down the city or location of the landmark on a detailed map, and then found that spot on the large map of the UK. It was a great exercise in teamwork!
During our VE day celebration on the 8th of May, the Shark class watched Winston Churchill deliver his VE day speech, from 1945, and then created a collage over the script of his speech. Julia took care and attention to create a beautiful piece of art that represented the respect shown to all civilians and servicemen and women from WW2.
In PSHE the Iguanas have been thinking about rules, rights and responsibilities, and Bea and Ellis & Daniel and Finley have done a fantastic job of recording the different rules, rights and responsibilities we all have as members of our school and wider society.

The Iguanas have been working on their understanding of equivalent fractions this week. Lyra, Henry and Florence have showed some great bar models and have used their knowledge to find fractions which are equivalent and fractions which aren't equivalent.
