Woodston vs OWPS Boys 1-1
A tough game against a strong opposition, the boys did well to come back after a goal behind, plenty of chances but wasn't our day in front of goal.

Key Stage 1 had a fantastic Sports Day, and we’re really grateful for all the support from families who came to cheer them on. The children gave it their all in a range of fun events—and it was great to see everyone running the right way down the track! The day ended with our traditional races and the ever-enthusiastic parents’ race. Thank you again for your continued support!
Key Stage 2 had a brilliant Sports Day, and we’re so grateful for the fantastic support throughout the event. The children gave it their all in a mix of classic events and some exciting new additions. It was a close competition, with Dempsey coming out on top! The day ended with our traditional races—and, of course, the always energetic parents’ race. Thank you again for your continued support!
Huge congratulations to the OWPS Girls football team who won the competition at the POSH ground today. 5 games played, 5 wins, 10 goals scored and none conceded! An absolutely astonishing team performance!
Last week, the Year 5/6 netball team welcomed St Michael's Church School for a friendly game. It was a really hot day but this did not stop the girls from giving it their all. They made us all proud and continued to improve as the game went on, scoring the most goals we have scored to date in a game. Well done girls!

The girls made Wistow history today, being the first Girls football team to represent Peterborough United at the Southern Regional final's day for the Premier League Stars Cup. We played 5 games in our group, with the likes of Tottenham Hotspurs and Luton in there. We won 3 and lost 2. A heroic effort from the girls who competed against the best played in the south of the country. As we finished 3rd in the group it meant we didn't qualify to the final stage. A brilliant journey for the girls this year and they have made us all proud every step of the way. Well done Girls, you're all winners!
Having qualified for the count finals day having won a competition in Peterborough, we headed off to Cambridge to compete against the best team in the county.
We started off playing Bushmead, with the games being 7 minutes a half, it meant that the girls didn't need to panic. A few minutes into the half the girls managed to score a great goal, with the final result ending 5-0. We then played Fordham, a very good team, with some excellent players. It was an amazing match to watch, both sides battled to earn a 2-2 draw. We knew we had to win the last game to qualify, and we did so right at the death, we went 1-0 down to turn it around with a 2-1 win. This put us into the semi finals, we played 2nd in the other group due to us winning ours. It started off as a cagey game, but Wistow came out 3-0 winners. This meant we were the finalist. We met with Fordham again. The game finished 2-0 to Fordham who thoroughly deserved the win.
I couldn't be prouder of the girl's team. Considering half of team had never played football before to now being the second-best team in Cambridgeshire is a massive achievement.

Last Thursday, the Year 5/6 Netball Team welcomed St Johns Church School for a netball game at Wistow. I was really proud of how polite and welcoming the girls were, as this was our first time hosting a game this academic year. For a few of the girls, this was their first ever netball game. They showed determination and perseverance throughout, and it was wonderful to see their confidence develop as the match went on. I am looking forward to seeing them put the new skills they learnt during this match into practice! Well done girls!
