Well, the Spring term of 2021 is one which we won’t forget in a hurry. The one in which Google classroom learning became the new normal and we all endured many a muddy walk! Lockdown part three has been hard, yet our children’s resilience continues to amaze and inspire us to carry on and keep hoping for the brighter times ahead. They will all be coming home this afternoon with a treat from FOWS as a well done and a Happy Easter from us all!

With restrictions easing, we are quietly optimistic that in the coming months we may be able to plan some fun fundraising events. The reality of children remaining in Covid bubbles does make this tricky as we need to consider that at any given moment a cohort may have to self isolate and would then miss out. We also recognise that whilst pandemic fatigue has set in, now is not the time to add extra pressure on ourselves and to the school community in general. We will continue to cross our fingers and to keep you all updated next term.

Bag2School

If you follow us on Facebook and Twitter (Friends of Orton Wistow Primary School and @OWPSfows) you will have seen that we have booked a Bag2School collection for Monday 19^Th April. There won’t be bags sent home prior to the collection on this occasion and unfortunately, we are unable to accept donations beforehand, as we have in recent years. We would very much appreciate any donations of good quality clothing, shoes, jewellery, bedding etc to be securely bagged in ordinary bin liners and dropped to the front of the school office before 9am on the day of collection, please. A couple of volunteers will be on hand to accept your donations. Full details of what can be included within the collection can be found www.bag2school.com

There are valuable ways in which you can continue to support our school, if you would like to.
