Friday 05.12.25

Dear parents and carers,
What a fantastic week at Orton Wistow Primary School. There is always so much to look forward to this time of year at school and if anyone began the week not feeling very festive, I'm confident that after today, they will be.
Foundation Stage Nativity
A personal highlight of the festive season, the Turtles and Penguins put on an amazing show for the rest of the school on Tuesday and then again for family members yesterday. The singing, acting and narration of the story was excellent, and the hall was full of people smiling. It takes a long time for the team to prepare for this, but it is always worth it in the end.
FOWS Christmas Fair
Another exciting Christmas event happening today! FOWS have prepared for today's fair, and we are hoping to see lots of our families attend from 3.30pm. There will be a selection of stalls as well as refreshments, the raffle and of course, Santa's Grotto! Thank you to everyone who has donated something this term to help out. I am aiming to raise £400 in the bucket today!
Goodbye and Good Luck
It is always sad when we have to say goodbye to members of our OWPS team. Miss. Toyne and Mrs Esposito have both secured new and exciting jobs, both starting after Christmas and their last day with us will be Friday 19th December. Both Miss. Toyne and Mrs Esposito have been valued members of staff for a number of years here at Orton Wistow and in that time have had a tremendous impact on the children and families they have worked with and supported. I am sure you will join us in wishing them both the very best of luck for the future.
I hope you all have a wonderful weekend.
Mr. Marks
