Our Assistant Head, Miss Tansley writes...

Dear Parents and Carers,

What a vibrant and productive week it has been at Orton Wistow Primary School! As we continue through the spring term, it has been wonderful to see pupils embracing new learning opportunities with such enthusiasm, since we returned from the Christmas break.

Thank You for Attending the Curriculum Evening

We were delighted to welcome so many parents and carers to our Curriculum Evening on Wednesday. Events like this strengthen the communication network between school and home and play a vital role in helping us work together to nurture a love of learning.

For anyone unable to attend, presentations from the evening will be shared, so you can still access the key messages and guidance.

Celebrating Our PRIDE Values

This week, assemblies focused on revisiting our PRIDE values, and many pupils have already earned certificates for demonstrating these in their everyday school life. Thank you for reinforcing these values at home.

FOWS Donation Day – Friday 30th January

Next Friday is FOWS Donation Day! Children are invited to wear their own school jumper or top, with normal school uniform, in return for bringing in an unwanted, unopened gift.

These donations will help stock Elfridges 2026, a much‑loved event for the children.

FOWS would especially appreciate:

  • Gifts suitable for men and boys
  • Unopened, unused items
  • No perishable items, please

Thank you for your support and generosity.

As always, thank you for your continued support and for being such an important part of our school community. Wishing you all a restful, happy weekend.

Warmest regards,
 Miss Tansley
