Following on from the announcement of school closures by the Prime Minister last Monday 4th January, schools have been advised they are still expected to provide meal provision to those children of families eligible for Free School Meals .
We have now sent back dated vouchers for last week and for this week - 11th to 15th January for you to access via our voucher provider. Vouchers are issued at £2.50 per day in line with the funding issued to school. If your child has been attending school part time, vouchers have been issued for the days they have not attended school only.
The Government has now advised schools it is strongly recommended that school catering teams provide food parcels to eligible free school meal pupils who are at home instead of vouchers previously issued.
With effect from Monday 18th January, no further vouchers will be issued and instead we will offer a food parcel to cover lunch provision for your child/ren on the days they are not in school.
Our lunch parcels will include a variety of hot meals your child would normally have in school (for reheating) and sandwich options to cover all days your child is not in school . The parcel will include some of our popular school meals such as Wistow Sausage Roll, Macaroni Cheese, Spaghetti Bolognese along with a pudding per day such as Brownie, Flapjack, Fudge Tart and Yoghurts or Jelly Pots. Please note however we cannot guarantee on any week the exact contents of each parcel.
All dietary requirements and allergens will be catered for in your food parcel.
Please indicate below if you wish to take up the offer of this provision each week. The form must be completed by Thursday 9am latest so we can prepare the parcels in plenty of time.
Food parcels are available for collection each Friday for the following week from 1pm from the School Office.
