In Toucans this week, the work looks a little different due to the Hilltop Residential that took place. This campfire was a team effort from a group of children, who had to collect the different wood sizes, learn how to construct the best fire and then boil their own water to make hot chocolate and toast their accompanying marshmallows. It was a success and Miss Tansley even got to taste the end products too!
In the History this week, the Flamingoes class has been analysing the different representatives of the Vikings. We turned ourselves into a Viking to record our understanding. This is the example of Oscar's work.
Alexandra produced a wonderful double page spread outlining the lives of both Elizabeth I and Elizabeth II. This was part of our History topic 'British Monarchs'.
In the Sharks Class, Imaan has done a piece of descriptive writing about the Tower of London- linked to our text "Treason".
Year 5 have been learning about the legend of Robin Hood as part of our Crime and Punishment topic. They have created their own characters to join the Merry Men and written a narrative inspired by this. Here is a lovely example by Dominic from the Pandas.
In the Flamingoes this week we have been creating character profiles. Below is an example of one of these profiles for Big Billy Boulder created by Autumn.
Ellie from Toucans has produced a design and flow-chart of how she intends to make her pasta salad, as part of our current design technology unit. Fingers crossed it tastes as good as it sounds!
In the Sharks, we have been learning all about Hinduism. Here is a piece of work created by one of the students, full of information, illustrations and symbolism.

Over the past week, Elliott from the Pandas has worked extremely hard creating this fantastic leaflet on Purple Mash to share his knowledge about many different animals.
Year 6 have been working hard to complete a unit of work linked to Pop Art and the artwork by Andy Warhol and Roy Lichtenstein. Anna has created her own polystyrene tile, with a simple everyday design, which has then been printed to mirror this artwork style. Great work!
Here in the Shark, Preston wrote a piece of moderated writing about being lost in the woods, showing editing and colour-coding as well.
