FOWS AGM is being held, at the school, on Tuesday 8th October at 7pm. Open to everyone, including non-members.
Next Thursday 3rd October is Census Day. This is an important day for schools across the country as we have to submit data to the government. This data helps them to decide how much funding we should have next financial year.
We would like each child to have a school dinner on this day if at all possible, as it would assist the school with gaining this important funding.
Please contact the School Office if you have any questions or any concerns with the menu, and we will see if we can resolve them.

To ensure the smooth running of the school, for both parents and staff, we would appreciate it if you could ensure the following are adhered too...
Here at Orton Wistow Primary School, we recognise that success comes in all different shapes and sizes! We celebrate the children's achievements in school in the Achievements section of the newsletter and website.
Many of the children, however, are also achieving things outside of school. We would like to recognise these successes too.
It might be that your child has passed a music or dance exam, gained a karate belt, starred in a show, volunteered, taken part in a sporting event, or done something that they didn't think was possible!
If you would like to share your child's achievements with us so that we can celebrate their success, please complete the Celebrating Success form which can also be found below. Contributions will be considered for inclusion in upcoming editions of the newsletter.
We look forward to hearing about your children's extracurricular achievements!
This Week's Successes!

Stirling won the junior cup for the most point in his age category at the Orton Village Show. To do this he had to bake and decorate cakes, make jewellery, a card, a monster from fruit and veg, as well as growing bean sprouts. Well done.

Oscar and Owen competed in the Peterborough Championship Series. Oscar is fighting in an advanced category for the 1st time this year and came 4th, and for Theo this was his 1st national competition, and he was very proud to get a silver medal, coming 2nd in his category. Well done!

Celebratory with a touch of sadness, Wednesday 10th July, 10 children from each school in the OWN Trust returned to Ferry Meadows for the last time. To celebrate all the learning over the year, we returned for some surprise events with Schools in Residence project in association with Nene Park Trust.

The Book Fair will be in school in time for the summer fayre next Friday! Due to transition week, children will not be browsing during the school day so do make the most of popping by either at the summer fayre or after school on Monday 8th (in the Nest). Every book you buy at the Book Fair gives us money to spend on books for school, and you can pay online via QR code or with cash.
Come and join us for the School Summer fair on Friday 5th July, from 3.30-5.30pm, in the playground.
