As you know, we have had a long and successful relationship with Rock Steady and have all enjoyed the concerts that the children put on for the rest of the school each term. This term will be our last term with Rock Steady and we would like to thank Laura and the rest of the Rock Steady team for their hard work over the last few years. We are looking forward to seeing one more concert after half-term - I'm sure it will be a memorable one.
Information will be sent out to families soon on alternative music tuition we will be offering in the next academic year, through peripatetic teachers. We are hoping to offer a range of instruments, some will be group lessons and some individual. More information coming soon!

Glorious and sunny, Wednesday 6th March, 10 children from each school in the OWN Trust returned to Ferry Meadows. The last learning day with the Schools in Residence project in association with Nene Park Trust. There is still a celebration event on Wednesday 10th July to look forward to. One of the aims of the project is to encourage members of the wider community to access the Park.
Congratulations to Janet Warren, who placed the highest bid, and has won the silent auction for the Hollywood Bowl tickets.
Thank you to everyone who placed a bid, The FOWS team appreciate all your contributions.
Next Thursday 16th May is Census Day. This is an important day for schools across the country as we have to submit data to the government. This data helps them to decide how much funding we should have next financial year.
We would like each child to have a school dinner on this day if at all possible, as it would assist the school with gaining this important funding.
Please contact the School Office if you have any questions or any concerns with the menu, and we will see if we can resolve them.
Thursday 16th May Dinner Menu
Main course: Sausage Roll or
Cheese and Tomato Pizza (V) (Change to menu)
Pudding: Chocolate Chip Sponge and custard
Choc Ice (Change to menu)
Fresh fruit or yogurt
Thank you very much for your support.
Kind regards

The Summer Term School Disco on May 23rd needs your help!
We're seeking parent volunteers for the 2 discos:
We need people to help with refreshments and the gate
Without your support, we can't make this event a success. Please contact us via Facebook or email (fows@owps.org.uk) to get involved.
Year 3 did a fantastic job in showcasing what they have learnt during the summer term so far, to both parents and the whole school, in their assembly this week. The children did a brilliant job in speaking their lines loudly and clearly, and performed a play all about King Henry VIII and his wives in a 'This is Your Life@ game show style. They also all sung excellently to the catchy song 'Divorced, Beheaded, Died'!
Thank you to all the adults who came to watch the performance. We hope you enjoyed it.
