OWPS runners up at Football Tournament

10 Year Six children represented our school at a local football tournamnet organised by the staff at St Botolph's Primary School. They played three 20 minute matches against the other teams that entered and despite some horrible weather conditions they finished second in the mini league table. This meant they played Alderman Jacobs Primary School in the final! Wistow took an early lead with a fantastic goal from Jack Shepperson but went in at half time 2-1 down. They kept their heads up and although they created some fantastic chances in the second half the game finished 2-1 to Alderman Jacobs. Adam Clark was chosen as Man of the Tournament for his consistent hard work and enthusiasm throughout the four games they played. A huge congratulations to the boys for their performance and a big thank you to all the family members who came along to support the team!
