Toby from the Toucans has showcased his knowledge on our RE unit about Judaism. He has created a double page spread, which includes key questions, vocabulary and facts which have been learnt through the unit of work.
As part of our work in English on Odysseus and the Cyclops, Lexi wrote a newspaper report detailing the dramatic events.
In the Toucans, Momina has worked exceptionally hard to find out about the changes that some of the British Monarchs have made, over time. She has then formed an opinion as to who she felt was most influential. The next day Momina had to reflect on the knowledge she had learnt.
Storm from the Sharks wrote a piece about Chimpanzees, inspired by David Attenborough and Dr. Jane Goodall.
The Wombats have thoroughly enjoyed exploring some new poetry this term. They were inspired by the poem ‘When The Colours Spoke’ by Grace Nichols, which led them to create beautiful watercolour paintings that reflected the colours and shades presented in the poem. Their inspiration didn’t stop there, the Year 5 children demonstrated their amazing writing skills by creating their own class version of the poem. This hangs proudly on the wall in the Wombats’ class.

During English, Courtney wrote a poem inspired by her artwork around colour and shape based on the poem 'When the Colours Spoke' from our class book 'Cosmic Disco'.

Lily from the Sharks made this a WW2 propaganda poster aimed at the role of women during the war as part of our work in History.
As part of our 'British Monarchy' topic, the Sharks have been reading 'Suffragettes' by David Roberts, and thinking about the lack of equality women have suffered throughout history, even when women have been on the throne. Auriol's work shows the editing session, which takes place after we have completed a piece of writing in Year Six. You can see some of the Year Six GPS elements, which Auriol has used effectively.
