Admissions Offers to OWPS for Entry September 2021

To accept the place

If you made your application using the Parent Portal, please log in to your account to accept the place offered by 30 April 2021.

Please also contact the school via our email address at or by phone on 01733 370646 from 9am -3pm to accept the place. Please include your child's name, DOB and the pre-school that your child attended in any communication.

Once you have accepted your place please come to the School Office to pick up a pack of information an Application Form and other forms to complete.

As part of the school admission process, we require you to provide proof of address. To ensure that offers of school places are made fairly, Peterborough City Council is committed to following strict address verification procedures. Please ensure that you have the correct documentation required in order to avoid any unnecessary delay in the child's admission to our school.

The offer of a school place is conditional until proof of address has been confirmed.

We will require the following proof before your child is admitted into school. Further details for what is acceptable as proof is available on the application form.

1. Proof of where you (the parent/carer) live

2. Proof that the child lives with you (the parent / carer)

3. Proof of the child’s date of birth

Due to the current circumstances at this stage we will only be asking for you to provide copies of your child proofs, to be either posted into the school or scanned and then emailed to,uk.

To decline the place – you must provide information on what educational provision you are making for your child. If you are declining a place because you are wishing to wait for a higher preference, or a place following an appeal, you may leave your child with no school place for September 2021 and it will be your responsibility to provide suitable education for your child.

You can decline your place online or by contacting the Admissions Team by email at the above address giving the required information by 30 April 2021 and also contacting the school as above.

Failure to respond to this offer by this date may result in the place being offered to another child.

Right of Appeal – If you are unhappy with your offer, you have the right to appeal to an Independent Appeal Panel for any school that you are on the waiting list for. Further information on the appeals process and how to appeal can be found at

Please be aware that accepting the school place your child has been offered will not affect your right to appeal against a higher preference that has been refused or for your child to be on the waiting list for that school.

With the current Coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic and governmental guidance being issued I need to advise you that it has been necessary to postpone all Reception Year admission appeal hearings which are due to take place during the Summer Term, following the National Offer Date on 14 April 2021.

Given the current health concerns surrounding the COVID-19 virus, we are predicting unavoidable delays this year, with regards to the scheduling of all our admission appeal hearings. As such, the School Admissions Team will not be in a position to commence hearing any Reception admissions appeals, as planned and dictated by statutory guidance.

Once the Local authority are able to start the process of rescheduling the hearing they will inform our school of the revised dates. Unfortunately, given the current uncertainty and increasing anxieties surrounding the COVID-19 virus, we are unable to predict at this stage, when this will be.

If you have any further problems, please contact the school direct or contact the Local Authority Admissions Team:
