I have needed to be polite when helping others on the playground. When in the lunch hall, I would say please and thank you when a midday supervisor asks me a question.

Year 4 Child

I am polite when I eat nicely.  I am polite when I let people go in front of me.  I am polite when I help someone up. 

Year 2 Child

Being polite is if you say please, thank you, pardon and pardon me.
